The cause and the strength of the terrorist movement does not lie in Afganistan. The American people have been asked to give their utmost in support and emotion and they have responded. In turn they are getting a half-measure from their leadership. It may be that the half-measure is the correct response in this situation but by asking for a full measure of backing the result can't help but be a dissapointment. Bush Jr. is settup the country just like Bush Sr. did such that even if all goals are met the result will be to embolden our enemies and discourage the populace.
