a pink slip in your mail. I've been layed off several times in the last 30 years. Sometimes you get 3 months warning and going away parties and sometimes they ask you to go outside to the parking lot where they tell you while someone else fills a box up with what they think is yours. I've watched even more layoffs where I survived. I think the worst company was the one that would place a box in front of your office door for you to fill up and take out, everyone would know but the person being layed off as they walked in the door. One guy I know took a couple of personal items under his arm, and left the box in front of his manager's door. TP
