Mephisto, I believe Boeing has about 60,000 employees working in commercial aircraft in Seattle so that is a layoff by Jan 1 of about 10,000 with another 20,000 in 2002.
These are high wage manufacturing jobs with good benefits so it will hurt our local economy.
