Right on the money, SR. We have no reason to prove our capability to utterly destroy the Taliban. The Afghans know it exists, we know it exists, so what's the point of precipitous action? We are psychologically undermining them by waiting for the proper time at which to strike. The Taliban and OBL no doubt are aware of the government's statements that the strike will occur at an appropriate time and place. The government has clearly indicated that there is no need to rush, no need to act rashly. The uncertainty of the time and place coupled with the certainty of a lethal response targeted directly at the culprits must be driving OBL and the Taliban up the wall.
