God and the Torah are not fetishes. If you believe that there is only one God, then you must believe that God made Jews and Arabs and everyone and everything else. The Torah is a book. Judaeism is both a religion and a culture. Someone of Jewish ancestry doesn't lose his or her cultural heritage just because he or she does not believe in God or the Torah.

Sadly, Hitler thought it was possible to be both Jew and atheist at the same time, as well as both Jew and Christian at the same time. He thought the Jews did belong to a race, with indelible traits that they might not even be aware of, might deny, but could never change.
