A recent definition of McCarthyism, courtesy of David Horowitz: "The most striking characteristics of latter-day witch-hunters are the hysteria with which they approach the issues, the recklessness with which they mount their attacks, and their resolute refusals to say “Sorry,” after the damage has been inflicted and their lies have been exposed." Does this definition fit maybe six to eight ultra-wingers who post regularly on this thread (as well as Rush Limbo)? I'd say so. JFK was wrong. In the end, Joe McCarthy was repudiated by all high-minded Americans. He died a disgraced man.
