I want 3G to succeed because it's a win/win for me. I object, however, to the delays and the mucking about. My preference, of course, is for Q's 3G CDMA to conquer all but that doesn't seem like it's going to happen, despite the fact that it is miles ahead of UMTS.

UltraSite is great, though I think it might be overkill and too expensive for financially strapped operators. I also don't understand how UltraSite is going to work if the cell sizes for each system (circuit-switched, packet, and UMTS) are probably going to be different. Seems like a lot of serious, delicate tuning is going to be required. But what do I know?

Moe trouble than it's worth?
