A lot of the difficult and unfair restrictions on the Palestinians where put in place in response to the establishment of the State of Israel.

The 3 billion we spend with Israel is just the tip of the iceberg. There are transfers of money through non-profits, that are tax deductible to the American general fund, that comes out the pockets of the taxpayer's benefits also, there are indirect costs like what we are doing now to hunt down bin Laden, and there is pilfering of American technology from US corporations, military facilities, and research labs.
