Hi Gary, stick around and you will most definitely get both sides of the argument here. We have a huge concentration of bears and bulls on this thread. I personally believe that we are within spitting distance of the bottom here. As John, so brilliantly pointed out, Cisco has been playing a classy and legal version of a Ponzi scheme with their stock options issuance and the beneficial effects of the cash flows as a result. The flip side to this is that when the stock tanks like it has in the last year and a half, those benefits disappear and cash flows disappear as well.

So the question is will the economy start moving upwards in a "V" from here? And if so, will Cisco's stock start moving upwards enough that the stock options exercise kickstart the virtuous cycle again? No one really know. I'm an optimist with a helluva conservative streak. I also have cash set aside to re-establish a long position in Cisco. I've already begun nibbling and will probably buy more within the next month.

For a contrary opinion, I'd look up John Shannon's posts going back a year or so. His posts are pretty informative. You might also want to check Bambs posts, which are usually a little more colorful, but he was the earliest to call the bear on Cisco. Of course, I'm a bull along with a few others like Eric. Good luck!
