Actually we can....they are illegal immigrants, with no right to be in the country. Where the law has gotten sticky over the years is in claims of asylum.....which is a legal "right" being exercised by somebody without a legal right to be here. I think at some point we have to either deport them or let them loose.....but we definitely do not have to let them loose into our society. Right now, the detentions have more to do with alleged involvement in the atrocities than they do with the immigration violations. We want to welcome the world to our shores, but then again, maybe not. It is a dilemma we will be facing for a long time.
