G, Read it this morning and talked extensively about it with my son. Safire is a neocon who was Nixon's speechwriter and now is a talking head as well as op ed contributor at the NYTimes. Besides op ed he is also the wordsmith at the NYTimes and writes every sunday about the proper and improper use of the English language. An all around brilliant guy whose politics sometimes offends the left but often in regards to matters that effect civil lliberties offends more traditional or religious conservatives. I am glad you posted the link. It certainly is worth reading. I am planning on living a "normal" life without fear going forward and I am doing this not because I am personally brave but as a testament to those who died that terrible day. Mike
