A few other small points while we are on the subject. One is that shortly after this "mistake" Syria was attacked. Secondly, your analogy of the US downing an Iran passenger plane vs the Israeli incident, are in stark contrast. A single missile fired in error is much different than a sustained attack. Somehow, I feel this incident will be revisited due to the current crisis, perhaps more light will be shed on it then.
