Nasdaq Suspends Delisting Rule

I guess they took a look around and wanted to have somebody on the exchange!

The Nasdaq said yesterday it is suspending its listing rule until Jan. 2, 2002. The suspension will allow
companies with share prices trading at less than $1 to remain on the market.

The Nasdaq said the action is in response to the stock market slide in the aftermath of the terrorist
attacks that occurred at the World Trade Center and Pentagon earlier this month.

Under normal rules, the Nasdaq would send a company a warning if its shares traded for less than $1
a share for 30 straight days. If a company did not raise its closing share price back above that level for
10 successive trading days during the next 90 days, the market would send a delisting notice.

The Nasdaq lists over 4,300 companies and trades more shares per day than any other U.S. market.
