Digital cameras that can be used to send pictures through mobile devices have hit the market.

Shubur, a Korean technology start-up, is selling the new digital camera through KTFreetel. When connected to a mobile handset that has data condensation and transmission functions, the camera can be used to send pictures as e-mail.

"A picture with 640 x 480 pixel size can be transmitted within one minute, using technology that we developed on our own," Lee Han-sang, president of Shubur, said. Equipped with a 4 megabyte flash memory chip, the camera can store about 60 pictures, Mr. Lee said.

SK Teletech, a mobile device manufacturer, recently introduced a color mobile phone that is also a small digital camera. The multi-function device enables users to send a small face shot in just a few steps.
