Apple's survival I read a recent article stating most brokerage houses are recommending a hold strategy with the stock. The question that gets raised the most is how long Apple can survive. It appears no news is bad news. An analyst at Smith Barney said Apple could still survive with its installed base of 22 million users. I think the best strategy is to sell the hardware side to the clone maker and concentrate on software and the internet. Also get the OS 8 out the door before schedule will help. The $19 level is the lowest since 1986. Also on the Wall Street Journal, the short selling positions has increased, not a good sign.
