Jeff, do you have the text of his speech? I was sort of watching the service, but was put off a little when he said, "Now I am only talking to Christians here" or something very close to that, and also when closing his prayer, he says, "with respect to all other religions, In Jesus name, Amen.

Am I making too much of that?
