[I would] call him crazy if he even remotely believes it might be 25 years before you get back to Nasdaq 5000 To add to Sun's response above, I would only mention that long term performance records of averages are subject to "survivor bias". Each year some companies in the average are removed due to declining financial performance and market cap. So the averages themselves can be somewhat misleading or biased. Sam
