[Amati alliances] Amati has alliances with Sumitomo for distribution, with NEC for chipset development and distribution, with Siemens for equipmnet codevelopment and distribution, with Motorola and TI for chipset development. And several more with other companies. I imagine that Amatis capacity is pretty much exhausted with the exising alliances and that they therefore insist terms favorable for them for further deals. One notable failed deal was with US Robotics who then went to Aware. The Motorola Copper Gold chipset is several months late but still on its way. Andreas
