Thanks, kb, I've long agreed yet remain unclear on the mechanism of selling pressure. I'm really looking for someone to make the case that/how shorting causes selling pressure, but I'm probably on the wrong thread for that. I will conclude unless shown otherwise that I'm not driving down the market in this time of trouble by shorting away. After all, if I borrow and buy back it seems I don't make an equity sale at all.
