Semantics. I don't think I said any such thing. I said neutrons decay to protons + electrons + another lepton (not that a neutron becomes a proton, per se). The Feynman diagram would show it the way I describe it. For some brief instant, it is something else, but not very long. See my previous post (which I edited since you responded).
