OT Travel

There isn't much to discuss...I've been to Germany, France, England, Turkey, Iran, Bahrein (sp?), Kuwait, Pakistan, Afghanistan (technically), Tajikistan, Kashmere, Northern India, Thailand, Laos, Burma (too little to count as I did not like it), Hong Kong, Australia, Canada, and of course the U.S. of A :)

Most of these countries I've been to several times. In some I've lived for more than a year. My average stay in each country is one month. When I travel I try to learn the language wear the same cloth and eat the same foods as the locals. I've made a lot of friends in many countries who have extended invitations to me and have taken care of me in subsequent trips.

I also tend to travel to all the none touristy locations such as boarder villages/towns and what not and try to cover them boarder to boarder. This is also a by product of me wanting to peak into the next country just because I am in the neighborhood. When I travel, I'd like to leave all my worries behind. So I try to buy and open ticket with no return date set. That way I come back whenever I'm bored of travelling.

That's about it.

PS I was going to embark on a real trip this September, but have had to postpone to next year.
