Well, those are fine words if you are only concerned with the material world.

You'll find in India & throughout Asia down thru the
centuries to the present , a paramparai or descending
lineage of Sages ,Saints , Gurus and Teachers , that
you have not even made the slightest reference too or
aquaintance with, but I know you are aware...

These holy persons have lived some of the most austere lives , free
from "concerns" of material world that can be imagined .
It is for the old souls of this world that can practice
that stillness within themselves and learn from it
the secrets of their inner natures. The writings and wisdom
they shared can only be called --->exquisite & sublime.

We know this is true , for we have the writings and evidence
of these very spiritual fellows going as far
back as 4000 yrs.

How can anyone be so blind, or so dumb, as to go through
life and Face Death, without the Christian Hope? Apart from Christ, what is tjhere, what can there be, either for This World, or the Next, to make life worthwhile?

That is a wonderful series of thoughts , but still the same
mistake made throughout the centuries...the idea of
the soul being eternal , in the image of God is
not an original "Christian" concept , it is Hindu.

The idea of a Saviour too , comes from the Hindu.

You are falling into the trap of thought that one
religion survived and pushed in one empire transcends
the other ...the claim of Jesus was not original .

I and the father are One ...No-one comes to the father
except thru me , etc etc.

He was only one of many who made this same remark. This is
not just my idea coming from a Buddhist perspective , but
also the idea held by 1Bil followers of Islam , and 1Bil
followers of Hinduism....and 1/2Bil Buddhists , who do
believe in a "Soul" , by the way .

Personally I am not concerned with whether I have life
everlasting after death...that's something that does not
act as a draw upon my psyche at all. I am quite at home
with the gracious coming of age and coming of more wisdom
while I live , and do feel part of something "Eternal"
while I live .... with or without ---> Jesus .

Yet, I wouldn't be so very fast to refer to the Hindu or the
Buddhist as being "blind & dumb" ....they were here
long before Jesus was born , and survive very well
into the present , and produce constantly some of the
greatest living saints & spirtual masters
on the planet .

One ----->living spirtual Master , is worth more than all the
promises of scritpures repeated by rote and mere
Clerics that you only have with :
"religions of the Book".

Words & promises are not enough...

PS: We'll let the youth of the world's future decide what is "truth" and what is mere fantasy...
