Probably for the same reason that the rudeness that surfaces so readily on other threads has shown itself here so rarely. There have always been barriers to entry for this forum, related to the difficulty in reading and understanding the fm so that one could debate its merits in context. It seems to have been too high a price to pay for many of the vocal types who like to address generalities about market outlook.

>> But if it's warnings in March you want, well, here's a topical post: Message 13290655

I remember that post, and even reading it today, I don't interpret it as a warning. Bridge Player was soliciting our POV, and I think the responses were politely presented, even mine <gg>. But thanks for posting that link. I enjoyed re-reading the dialog from that era, when the thread was focused on vetting candidates.

That borders on the poetic, John, but if your primary intent is to remind the few remaining Gorilla Gamers that we could have preserved capital by moving to cash in March 2000, you're wasting your time and talent. A quick look at the GKI, or our own portfolios for that matter, is more that adequate to drive that lesson home. But what's done is done, and bemoaning lost opportunity, while satisfying to some, isn't very productive imo. The more salient issue would be how to prosper from this point onward. I have to award Mucho high grades for his efforts in that direction, and would hope you might follow his lead.

A little more tweaking might be in order.
