JDN I will go find something to back this up, but I heard the opposite that airlines were remiss to put in stronger regs and stricter security. Weapons detection equipment is rusting away in warehouses because airlines didn't want to pay the cost of installing them. So now, no one wants to fly, the airlines are crashing financially and you and I have to bail them out because they didn't want to spend up front money that might have prevented 9/11/01. Thanks, employee owned, United Airlines!!!
