WASHINGTON -- Vulcan Ventures Inc. no longer owns any shares of InfoSpace Inc. (INSP) following the company's buyback of 21,698,778 common shares, according to an amended Schedule 13D filed Monday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

As reported, InfoSpace is buying back about 21.7 million shares from Vulcan Ventures Inc. at a discount to the market price in a privately negotiated block transaction. InfoSpace said it plans to retire the repurchased shares.

According to the filing, InfoSpace purchased the shares Monday for $1.05 apiece, an aggregate price of $22,783,716.90.

Vulcan Ventures is the investment vehicle of Microsoft Corp. (MSFT) co-founder Paul Allen.

Bellevue, Wash.-based InfoSpace is an Internet information infrastructure company.
