Anyone that actually saved money now gets close to 0% interest for all their hard work.

Not so. There are some investments like REITs where you get 6% to 7% yields. And in a falling interest-rate environment, the high dividend yield acts as a floor on the price of the underlying stock.

The future belongs to total-return investments; not to gunslinger growth stocks that in fact, make little or no money.
