Welcome to my site! IMO, this is a Bear Market and will stay that way for the rest of the year, at least. I am basing my trading on that premise, and shorting selected tech stocks. I usually short with about a 50k budget, with the idea of turning a 1k profit on the deal. I am not too worried about a tech rise, as I see no reason for it to last in this market.

I short into an up day, and set a cover price to return 1K. I am counting on a level to down market, with good volatility. I have shorted QQQ twice in the last two weeks, the first time for about a 3.6K profit, the 2nd time for a push.

I got in and out of Brocade today. Shorted it at 4.35 and covered at 4.11 for a 1K profit. This is a volatile stock that is headed down, IMO.

I am totally out of the market now in my trading account.
