Dear Amein : <Definitely OT>
You state: > Someone mentioned before that you might be from Iran.
Who said that?! I do not recall anyone saying that on this thread? Please point that out how did you come to know this?!! Seriously please do provide me who was it that mentioned that I was originally from Iran? Or was it you who figured that out and just dont feel right saying it?!
Anyway but to respond, yes I am originally from Iran. And yes I am bitter about what has happened to that great nation under what is called Islam. And yes I am bitter about so much harm done to the human race around the world under the name Islam. And yes I am bitter about people going around and for being politically correct calling Islam the religion of love and peace without knowing anything about it. And yes I am bitter for which I am tired of evil-doers doing their deeds under what is referred to as Islam.
Before you calling my statements as enigmatic, I ask you to please read your holly Koran, and trasnlate the exact words of how it talks about people dealing with each other with honesty, integrity, honor, respecting each other as equals and being just to one another, etc. etc. etc.
And then tell me honestly: a) if those so called teachings do include people belonging to other religions other than Islam (or those that are not recognized by Islam - and you can pick any such as Budahism, Hindu, Bahai, etc. etc. etc.)? In otherwords do those equalities and nice stuff apply to the human race in general or to just those who call themselves Moslems? And do tell me if Koran is not written primarily for men?! And do tell me if Koran does not validate violence agaist what is reffered to as KAFARS (i.e. unbelievers)? After all arent unbelievers human beings too who might still have good deeds, good thoughts, and good words, but just dont want to implement them under the rules set by Islam?! Someone who does not believe in God and instead worships a cow can still have good deeds, good words, and good thoughts and be a good citizen, does Islam provide a framework of respect and equality and justice for him too? Tell me why is it that moslems feel it would be OK to steal, kill and cheat a non-moslem for which they would in fact be doing good deeds in the name of Allah? And tell me if Islam is about justice and equality, then why I would be dead by now if I had made these comments in an Islamic country (and you can pick any of them - from Saudi Arabia, to Iran, to Sudan, to Algeria, to Egypt, to...)? And for all I know there may already be a contract put on my head for posting these comments?!!
You think my statements are enigmatic? Well, my friend, I guess you do not honestly and really know how your holly Koran is interpreted by a vast majority of moselms (and I am not talking about Mohammad Alis of the world who have created Islam in their own image - but rather those who follow the religion based on the teachings of the book word-by-word). Did you know there is a teaching in the book that talks about the following: "... and if your wife does not obey you, stay away from her, dont sleep with her. If she continues to disobey you, then you are allowed to punish her in any way you want...".
And please do not take me wrong. I am not against Islam. I am not trying to offend anyone who calls himself a moslem. Believe it or not I do like what it promotes at a conceptual level in terms of equality and all that stuff you talk about - But to perhaps make you bettr understand this I give you the following analogy:
I remember when I was a college student I first majored in Political Science, and one of the projects was to write an essay on the constitution of 4 different countries. I picked China, Cuba, Iran, and the U.S. And if you read these 4 constitutions they all talk about freedom, and equality for all, and justice for their citizens, etc. etc. etc. Seriously on paper they all sound the same and promote the same idealistic human concepts. But tell me, where do you rather live? In Communist China, Iran, Cuba, or the U.S.? After all based on their constitutions (i.e. the very foundation of each nation) they all talk about the same things, so how come in reality when it comes to implementation things differ so greatly from what is stated in their constitution?! While they all talk about the same concepts (e.g. equaility, justice, honor, etc. etc.) why U.S constitution provides a much superior framework for freedom than for example Iran's constitution, or the Communist China? The answer my friend is in the fine prints appearing in between the lines of each constitution!! :)
