Hi Monty; If they kick out the garbage to soon then
the weight they have to give the others goes UP and
the indexers have to buy them. The Big Brokers are
aginst that because they are still net short. So they
Spin the story they are doing it to help out the
little guys which is pure BS.
------------
If people knew just how the major brokers like MER
operate a "war" room and take positions aginst their
own clients trades people would vacate them.

Did you see the Puts I found on United Air ?
I've traded a few options in the past on most Air Lines
& they never were popular or very liquid , and at no
time did I ever see 2000 contrants of open interest
in any of them LET alone 2000 trading in one day.
UAL Corporation is a holding company whose principal subsidiary is United Air Lines, Inc.
--------
For them who read this and don't know about options
2000 put contrats =2000 X 100 shares short
cost was $180,000 (Min) - value now is $2,500,000
