Well I've got a $12 spread on my accumulation .

On to ways that lead to Aspen...

The Cisco/Alcatel alliance appears to be very good news for NUKO.

From the PR:
<<Under the agreement, Alcatel will contribute expertise in the areas of public switched networking, high-speed access and voice communications, while Cisco provides expertise in data communications and Internet technology. The goal of the collaboration is to offer complete networking solutions to telecommunications carriers and other Internet service providers worldwide.>>

And this quote
<<Alcatel plans to integrate Cisco IOS(TM) software technology into several products used by telecommunications service providers. The anticipated initial applications will be on Alcatel ATM and ISDN switches, with possible extension to SONET/SDH transmission and GSM mobile networks solutions.
As part of its Cisco IOS integration plan to deliver high-speed IP traffic over ATM, Alcatel intends to use Cisco's Tag Switching technology wherever appropriate.>>

Cisco will be the one supplying the ATM technology and I would assume the codecs in this partnership. Did NUKO just bag Alcatel? I know NUKO had an alliance once upon a time with ALA but we haven't heard any news on that front. (Ken, did you post something you heard about recent NUKO/ALA happenings?) Well, via Cisco, NUKO could obviously score big with ALA's mighty customer base.

Pat Mudge on the AMTX thread posted her notes from today's Cisco/Alcatel conference call. There was much talk of broadband solutions...
