Bought Flextronics @ 15.91, UTStarcom @ 15.95
Done for now without selling something.

I was wondering how you could continue to buy without selling but I did not want to be "nosey." I did put some money in the market about a week ago but I chose mutual funds. Less personal maintenance was my reasoning. My one accout that I use for speculative positions meaning high growth high risk I placed on margin last February. I never really took much off the table except Ariba due to losing faith. by the time I did that, the revenue from the sales was really small. I do have some kind of point here. As the market dropped, the percentage of margin increased due equity decrease. As of last week I was within a few thousand of a margin call. Then we had the small bounce so who knows what happens next. I have decided to meet a call if I ever get one but I have been giving that thought for more than a week. There nothing I own in which I do not have confidence long term.

The tragedy of one of the founders of Akamai on September 11th and of course the thousands of other peolple that were murdered, overshadowed the amount of server capacity the Akamai platform actually performed. Akamai was pumping out a tremendous amount of data for news sites, streaming video, etc. In fact, I see most of the major news sites that did not use them in the past are still using them. Akamai charges now for MB served. I do not know if anyone meaning analysts, journalists, etc. commented on a possible revenenue increase for them. The ongoing demand for more news may be a catalyst here. Just idle thoughts<G>
