I agree with your view of how bubble deflating bears end. I believe that we are seeing the beginnings of the end when experienced investors bail and change their philosophy of investing to include shorting. I experience some of this myself since my target on BEAS used to be $12 but now it seems too risky at $9. The trigger finger is getting a bit arthritic.

How will you decide to jump back in? Is it when BusinessWeek runs the "Technology is Dead ForEver" article or when Abbey Joseph Cohen switches to biotech stocks or when Uncle Frank and John Shannon agree on everything?

Just like the inverted yield curve in the spring of 2000 was a blaring signal of trouble ahead what is the signal you are looking for at the end of the bear?
