If there are any Matrox G450 experts around, I could use some help. I installed a G450 on my Dell 4100 yesterday. The Matrox replaces a ATI128Ragepro card which worked well. I want two monitors so I can have more charts up. After installing the new card, I rebooted and interrupted the plug and play sequence and installed the Matrox CD which installed the Matrox software. On rebooting, I saw the boot sequence on both monitors, however, I have been unable to get anything else to display on monitor #2 and it does not show up in device manager. I tried to get device manager to search for new plug and play device, but it found none. It does show the Matrox G450, and it shows monitor #1. I tried to add a new device, but there is no option in the list for monitors. My OS is W2000 with SP2. To troubleshoot, I shut down and switched the monitors on the Matrox. On rebooting, the boot sequence again showed on both monitors. But the #2 monitor is again missing from device manager and is not detected, while my regular desktop shows up on #1 (the former #2).

I know there is a Matrox support board, but it is closed on weekends and I'd like to wrap this up so I can be up and running for the market open tomorrow.

Anyone have a clue?

Thanks, Alan, for taking this post. I think I recall you have a G450.

Rick
