i have seen canadian government money pour into high tech ventures. is the government in canada pouring money into ventures that could accelerate or solve the use of alberta's oil sands? for all the ink and talk of oil sands, it seems canada could spend more on that and create more jobs and wealth in that area than anything else. what's the relative spending on oil sand research/venture money vs. high tech venture money up in canada?
