I agree about 'reasonable and honest criticism' however I feel Rogers criticisms of the US are neither reasonable or honest, proven by his remark about 'Palestinians'
OK Thomas, You need to do what I did. Go back and back test Rogers calls since 1997. Anyone who followed his calls would be pretty broke now. His Gold call was godawful, his copper, lead and tin, would have cost you money big time. As for his short US stocks from 1997 to 2000, ya just gotta laugh if you didn't follow him, or cry to the poor house, if you did. But, the thing I object most, was he never missed an opportunity to knock America, never.
The right to disagree is a basic American right. I understand you like Jim Rogers, and for you that is fine. I am aware that he worked with Soros YEARS ago, but has not been with Soros for many years. Perhaps Mr Soros also became aware of his cynical attitude towards America, I don't know that for sure, but it makes sense. I, however, believe that GE/NBC/CNBC can come up with another Guru who is less anti American and can make much more timely calls than Rogers.
