Sunday September 30, 10:50 PM Taliban leader warns of war if government collapses KABUL, Sept 30 (AFP) - The leader of Afghanistan's ruling Taliban warned Sunday his forces would pursue a guerrilla war if the regime was toppled by an alliance of opposition forces. Mullah Mohammad Omar, the supreme leader of the Taliban, warned against attempts to overthrow the ruling militia and replace it with a government spearheaded by Afghanistan's former king Mohammed Zahir Shah. "Don't you know the nature of Afghans that they will fight against your corrupt administration?" he said in a statement pointed at the popular 86-year-old former monarch.
