Will B2B Rise From the Ashes?

It has occurred to me that, as a result of the 9/11 attack, we may see a resurgence of interest in the B2B Internet sector. Capital spending cutbacks hit this sector pretty hard with once high flyers like ARBA and CMRC now selling at around $2 per share. All of the stocks in the sector are showing signs of bottoming if not outright failure. And, the economy is scheduled for recovery in the first few months of next year. So, what's the connection between B2B and the events of 9/11?

We all know that once the perception is off the shelf that the economy has turned, the capital spending taps come open. Corporate planners will be seeking out, not only more streamlined ways of doing business, but more secure methods of operation. All business to business communication that can be accomplished across the Internet is business that does not require business travel. Since there is a heightened concern to reduce business travel, which may last for the next couple of years as the "War on Terror" plays out, it follows that there will be a heightened interest in Internet B2B services.

Is my logic flawed? I'm open to all points of view.
