We have never seen a period where commerce in the most dynamic part of the economy (and the sector most responsible for productivity gains for the entire economy) totally siezed up like this. It wasn't just small-caps either.


I know. I recall when I sold 1/2 my Cisco position a few years ago and deployed that money into other stocks I thought I made a wise decision. It really did not matter. The only way to have prevented losses was to be in cash or be short. It is so easy with hindsight:-)
