To the Thread,

Not surprisingly, may AIM basket of tech stocks flashed a big buy sign a week ago Friday, during my monthly check-up.

Due to the uncertainty unleashed by the attacks, I placed my buy orders slowly over the course of the last week, and I only 'spent' about 2/3 of the full BUY order from my cash reserve. I will await developments and have considerable funds in reserve from some SELL orders earlier in the year.

I'd be interested in the thread's experience with large drops or, more likely, large run-ups. Lichello bases his approach in part on his observation that trends tend to continue over time. Thus he is not too bothered by performing a monthly or even quarterly check-up.

This appears to fly in the face of contemporary AIMsters, here on the thread and elsewhere, prefer to set AIM-style targets for individual stocks and execute them when they hit, not along a given timeline.

All comments welcome.

Jonathan
