Yes is was, but man's rebellion destroyed the image and likeness of God in the first pure religion of man. Christ restores the image and likeness of God in man by wiping out the sin that had destroyed the image and likeness of God in man. Since Christ restores the image and likeness originally created by God, Christ's religion (ChristianityK) is the poure religion. Do not confuse the weaknesses and sins of men and women who call themselves Christians with the pure religion. Christ has given this treasure, the restoration of the image and likeness in earthen vessels, meaning in our weak flesh and blood.
