Ever watch the cartoon Mr. Magoo?

Here was this nearly blind guy venturing out in the world, trying to do his benign business and sometimes do good for others. But because he misapprehended everything, despite the best of intentions, disaster always ensued. Funny stuff.

One can then imagine his evil twin who always tried to bring about harm but, because he likewise mistook his circumstances at every turn, always wound up doing people great favors, despite his malevolent intentions. I always wished someone would animate the adventures of this guy. Oh well.

Nevertheless regardless of the consequences, who's the better person?

I'm not necessarily buying Kant who thought that his particular motivation explained it all, but are (some would say) mere consequences everything?

Motivation and intention has something to do with being a good person.
