From Geoff Moore on the listserv tonight,

Gang,
For what it is worth, here is my take on gglist going forward. We are
still all individual investors who need to provide for our families. At
the present time, it is undoubtably safer to be in cash equivalents or
bond funds than in the market. Moreover, in the market, the forces that
drive gorilla game outcomes have been temporarily dwarfed by
macro-economic forces that render them impotent. Thus is a sector
downturn even a gorilla gets trounced. This is leading investors to
"forget" the gorilla game entirely. And that, actually, is good news --
or rather, will be good news -- for gorilla game investors when the
cycle turns back the other way. In the meantime, I think it is worth
discussing the macro economic trends so that we can all get a better
handle on what they are, how they might impact the tech sector, and when
they might subside sufficiently to let the gorilla game rebegin.
Best to all in these trying times,
Geoff
