While I believe we will see the OSX bottom at year end during tax selling season as it did in 1998, I think it makes sense to start or add to positions when the OSX gets under 60 and sell off partial positions on rallies. We may or may not get a bottom in the 45-50 range, but as we all know it very hard to predict an absolute bottom and 12-18 months from now it won't make a lot of difference.

I suspect the bottoming process will allow for plenty of opportunities to sell partial positions on rally's through out the bottoming process as we saw Friday.
