Is the US market the victim of the newest fraud. The opposite of Pump and Dump the SHort & Distort?

This technique, often perpetrated by short sellers, is the "cybersmear" or "trash and cash" fraud which is intended to driven down a stock price on the basis of spreading false negative information.

"The mob never saw a market it didn't want to control," said Lewis Schiliro, head of the FBI's New York office.

After "dumping" or selling their discounted shares at artificially inflated prices, they would "short" the stock, then have the brokers stop supporting its price. The investing public lost all or the majority of their money in these securities as the price plummeted.

If you get a news letter that is not i favor og transparency with checks and balances and espcially against offshore freedom to destroy our market... one has to question why aren;t they. Are they Pumping selling into their own email and they at the stall short selling it back into oblivion?

Nothing wrong with regulated short selling IF they follow the rules but what about the massive scenarios that do not and if they have to go off shore.

Offshore needs to provide proof of ownership or disclose the sell as a short. PERIOD!
