COGNICASE Signs $10 Million Contract With City of Montreal
MONTREAL, CANADA--OCTOBER 1, 2001 - 10:07 EDT COGNICASE Inc. (NASDAQ: COGI), a provider of advanced transaction processing solutions and Internet-based applications, announced today the signing of a large hosting contract with the city of Montreal. The contract is valued at $10 million.
Under the terms of the agreement, COGNICASE will manage data processing operations in collaboration with the city of Montreal. This includes the elements for implementing a network for central and departmental processing, a storage area network, and a hardware hosting and back-up environment. COGNICASE will also provide support services to the City's computer department. The mandate will run from January 2002 to December 2006.
