Allow me to butt-in. Most of the support in WTC structure is steel. The crater created by the air craft is about 4 stories deep, which itself weakened the structure. At high temperatures steel buckles and at very high temperatures (~2000 degrees), it melts. Aircraft fuel burned to temperatures higher than that. Then the fuel was burning. You see, the molten metal is not a good support for the 30-50 stories sitting on top of it. When the upper floors gave in, the massive impact they created on the lower floors is not what they were designed for. Only structure that had a "possibility" of sustaining the blow would be a nuclear bunker, which are designed to take, among other things, high temperatures!
