Charles: Judging by the look of today's trading, the trend lines are
telling you the truth. On the PB, I don't have any experience with
them but considering their overall reputation and the fact that they
are the #1 domestic PC seller, it looks like the majority of people
shop for price before anything else. The only thing I've seen on the
AMD "NexGen" chips is the benchmark testing in PC World and they show
that the NexGens beat the equivalent Pentium in most applications, as
did the Cyrix. Yesterday's paper had similar news on the Cyrix/Pentium tests but also said the Cyrix attempted to charge Pentium prices and was unable to do so. Advertising pays and no one
in the chip field has as big an advertising budget as Intel.
