I am much encouraged by what I read in the media. There is an incredible amount of disinformation and speculation apparent. Things seem to be spiraling out of control for the forces of darkness. I read Bin Laden is hiding here or hiding there. First they can't find him, then they have him contained. This guy has never played with a full court press before evidently. The US is going to do this or the US is going to do that, people are guessing.

The British rags are getting impatient but any student of war knows that it takes some real time to arrange things. I'm thinking that things are moving ahead swimmingly. The war is already engaged. This is when the psychops are taking their toll. The initiative has obviously shifted, a defensive posture has been adopted and these defenses are crumbling in fearful anticipation without even a shot being fired. Targeting and planning take real time. Picture collecting time. I'd bet there isn't much territory in Afganistan that hasn't been mapped and studied extensively. Meanwhile the rats have crawled into their caves for safety. Seems like a perfect opportunity. Caves and traps are very much alike. Only difference is that one has ventilation and egress but these features are easy to eliminate, just plug a few holes. One of the key timing events in any war is totally outside the control of humans. This is the time of the full moon. Light at night plays to the advantage of the home court players as they won't have as many pairs of night vision goggles and they know the terrain. I'd expect US side to want to enter closer to the moonless window and expect bombing and targeting to begin shortly in advance of that point. Since there isn't much to target, a few days ought to do it. In the meantime its nice to hear that the military planners on the other side are shifting their defenses around. Makes them more exposed and easier to acquire for targeting.

I've been reading predictions of imminent assault expectations. Another week of non-assault tensions should really disintegrate the enemy's will. It must be hard to sleep when you are expecting a real war to begin in your neighborhood but not at a "time and place of your own choosing". The surrounding nations seem to be poised to "influence" things once the ruling hunta topples. Like vultures anticipating carrion. There are a lot of dead men walking in Afganistan tonight.
