"Attack within 24 hours news report". I doubt that. Too early :

-The US-UK still have too much work to do at home, searching for dormants.
-Not enough soldiers and equipment has been deployed.
-At the first stage of a deployment, they are very much at risk, and the first forces to go in are defensive not offensive.
- Fear night after night for the Talibans needs time to feed in, and for defectors to run away.
-Time is not an issue, as long as attacks on the West (and India) are at an "acceptable" level.
-The moon is still climbing. Sets at 2 AM local time.
-Powell still thinks that he can build a better Alliance, and once combing starts, it will be much harder.
