Just a couple notes, Jerry; I did hear about pilots in cockpit jump seats from a coupla sources (don't make me go back and look for 'em, please) as well as the fact that the killer Atta was given a tour of Logan Airport.

Reading Halberstam's comments, I'd say the media is not so much covering up as displaying its modern ineptness at bonafide journalism.

As for the nuke plant, unless there's more than meets the eye, it may reflect the conviction of some that the terrorists are more likely to target highly visible symbols of what they call our imperialism. If they're right, since we all know where the Prez gets sheltered, covering the military hot spots makes sense.

A car bombed nuclear plant is high on my list, though the maximum impact of that kind of attack would be felt more in places with larger populations. NY, Florida and Hollywood stand out, because of large concentrations of American Jewish populations.

Still, all nuclear plants should be better covered. Bin Laden is mad, but he's crafty.
